At Uni Revue we love to work hard and celebrate with gusto. There’s every chance you’ve heard that we enjoy a party and I am sure you’ll meet some Life Members who have a tall story or two about the parties they’ve attended.
The truth is that in a 75 year old theatre company made up mostly of students there is quite a history of partying. Each generation seems to add another chapter to the book, so in good Old Nick fashion, we have quite a few themed events.
“We’re in the business of parody. The themed parties are a natural extension of what we do best in revue - taking the piss, at every opportunity.” - Andrew McNichol.
The emphasis at these events is on joining in the fun. We don’t mind if you choose not to drink or would like to arrange a non-alcoholic version of the beverage on offer. Please remember that we’re here to have fun, we look out for each other so no one is harmed and we all get home safely.
Importantly, cast and crew are reminded that the Code of Conduct still applies at parties, including the zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs and the emphasis on express consent. Please do not invite any ‘+1s’ to events or parties without the consent of the Director or Production Manager.
We invite you to join in and have fun in the spirit intended. These parties are a great opportunity to get to know your fellow Revuers away from the formality of rehearsals and performances!
The parties may change year-to-year but here’s the quintessential Uni Revue party list:
Welcome BBQ
Blood of Christ
Break-Up Party
